BIRD SHIFT: THE ANTHROPOGENIC ORNITHOLOGY OF NORTH AMERICA |
This project was done for the exhbition, From Whale Oil to Whole Foods, curated by Christy Rupp and hosted by the Green County Council for the Arts. My installation was located at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Agroforestry Center’s Sluisaw Model Forest in Acra, NY. The project consisted of photographically printed aluminum sculptural "silhouettes" of two once common but now extinct birds in the region, interpretive signs with information about the birds, and a booklet about other human impacted bird species in the region. |
